We are currently advising a not for profit organization based in the UK in setting up its operations here in Bangladesh.
We provide free legal advice and services to a not-for-profit organization, based in Bangladesh, working towards the betterment of the lives of the intellectually disabled population of Bangladesh, especially children. This organization is a long term client and till date, all legal services provided to them by Vertex Chambers has been free of cost.
Advised, on pro bono basis, a local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), engaged in the welfare and education of the intellectually disabled in Bangladesh on the formation of a trust for the benefit of its students. Vertex Chambers advised and structured a trust, where the endowment was the money raised from the said concert, including drafting of the trust deed, the by-laws of the trust and assisted with the registration of the same under relevant sub-registry office in Dhaka. Vertex also advised a member of the Board of Trustees of the said trust who also happened to be the parent of an intellectually disabled student, with regard to the formation of a society under the Societies Registration Act 1860 of the Bangladesh. In this regard, we assisted in the preparation of the Memorandum of Association and Rules and Regulations of the said society and assisted regarding registration of the same with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (as per the laws of Bangladesh laid down regarding formation of societies).
